WD-40 Company aims to make things slicker than the hands of a bacon-eatin' politician, but, just in case those hands get "too" slippery, they also make Lava and Solvol brands of heavy-duty hand soaps. The company's namesake petroleum-based product is used as a lubricant, rust preventative, penetrant, and moisture displacer. Most US households have a can of WD-40, which is sold through retail outlets and industrial distributors in more than 160 countries. The company also makes 3-IN-ONE Oil, a drip oil lubricant, and has acquired Global Household Brands, maker of X-14, Carpet Fresh, and 2000 Flushes. WD-40, which has operations in Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America, makes more than 50% of its sales in the US.
