PROFILE Packeteer is on a mission to improve the quality of Internet service. The company develops bandwidth management systems that enable businesses and Internet service providers to find and classify network traffic, analyze network performance, control traffic, and prioritize Web site access. Packeteer's AppVantage and PacketShaper systems help network managers reduce congestion that can result from such electronic traffic as file transfers, transactions, or multimedia transmissions.
