Three-fourths controlled by tableware maker Pagnossin, the company makes fine porcelain and bone china tableware, including dinner plates, cups, and serving trays, and small statues and collectibles. A leading maker of ceramics in Italy, Richard Ginori 1735 offers about 10 new designs each year, but it also uses some of its designs that are more than 200 years old. Exports account for nearly a third of sales. The company has a joint venture with Japanese trading company Itochu that runs some 20 shops in Japan (its largest market outside of Italy).
