The company's surface conditioning equipment (half of sales) removes contaminants from wafers during processing. Its microlithography systems, which account for about 30% of sales, process light-sensitive materials that are used to etch patterns on semiconductor wafers. The company also makes a spin-on system for dielectric film. FSI's equipment is used by semiconductor makers such as Texas Instruments (nearly 15% of sales) and STMicroelectronics (11%).
