PROFILE Heritage Propane Partners wants to leave a legacy of propane and propane products across the US. The company sells more than 300 million gallons of propane a year to some 500,000 agricultural, commercial, industrial, and residential customers. It operates 225 retail outlets in 28 US states. Heritage has expanded by buying the operations of U.S. Propane, which was formed from the combination of the propane businesses of four utilities: AGL Resources, Atmos Energy, Piedmont Natural Gas, and Teco Energy.
