PROFILE The beers of Foster's Brewing Group go over Down Under. The company distributes its beers in about 150 countries, but nearly 90% of its sales are in the Australia/Pacific region. Its Carlton and United Breweries unit is Australia's #1 brewer and brews beers such as Foster's Lager and Victoria Bitter. Foster's Beringer Blass Wine Estates division makes the Mildara Blass wine brands (Australia's top premium wines) as well as the Beringer wines and other brands gained from its 2000 purchase of Beringer Wine Estates. Fosters also operates a domestic spirits group and oversees direct-marketing wine merchants in Australia, Europe, Japan, and the US.
