PROFILE Ranks Hovis McDougall is the UK's top flour miller. Not bad for a company's whose founder could not afford to buy his own windmill in 1875. Today, however, RHM includes such brands as McDougalls flour, Hovis bread, Saxa salt, Bisto gravy powder, Robertson's preserves, and of course, Mr. Kipling's cakes. Nearly all UK households have bought one RHM branded product or more. RHM also is active in the manufacture of private-label grocery items and cold or frozen meals and bakery products.
