PROFILE American Retirement provides independent and assisted living, skilled nursing, and health care for the elderly and those with Alzheimer's disease. It operates more than 60 senior living communities (more than a third are company-owned) in 16 states. In addition to medical care, the company offers support services such as grooming, laundry, and recreation.
