American Cast Iron Pipe Co. (ACIPCO) has one of the largest individual ductile iron pipe casting plants in the world. Its divisions (American Centrifugal, American Ductile Iron Pipe, American Flow Control, and American Steel Pipe) make ductile iron pipe and fittings, cast steel tubes, electric resistance welded steel pipes, fire hydrants, and fire truck pumps and valves for water treatment and energy production. ACIPCO's newest subsidiary, American SpiralWeld Pipe, produces spiral-welded steel pipe. John Joseph Eagan founded ACIPCO in 1905, and in 1922 placed all of the company's stock into a beneficial trust for ACIPCO employees. Employees also receive generous quarterly bonuses.
