Business Summary
Metromedia International Group Inc. is a global communications company engaged in the development and operation of a variety of communications businesses in Eastern Europe, the republics of the former Soviet Union and other selected emerging markets, through its subsidiaries Metromedia International Telecommunications, Inc., Metromedia China Corporation and PLD Telekom Inc. The Company also owns Snapper, Inc., which is a wholly owned subsidiary. Snapper, Inc. manufactures Snapper brand premium-priced power lawnmowers, garden tillers, snowthrowers, utility vehicles and related parts and accessories.

Financial Summary
MMG manufactures lawn and garden products through Snapper. MMG also develops and operates cable TV, paging services, radio broadcasting and various types of telephony services. For the three months ended 3/31/01, revenues increased 7% to $86.8 million. Net loss applicable to Common increased 37% to $27.7 million. Results reflect higher revenues from the communications group. Higher loss reflects an increase in the equity in losses of unconsolidated investees.
