Manulife Financial Corporation (MFC) is a leading Canadian-based financial services company operating in 15 countries and territories worldwide. MFC provides a wide range of financial products and services, including individual life reinsurance, group life and health insurance, pension products, annuities and mutual funds to individual and group customers in Canada, the United States and Asia. The Company also offers reinsurance, primarily life and accident and health reinsurance, and provides investment management services with respect to the Company's general fund assets, segregated fund assets and mutual funds and, in Canada, to institutional customers. The Company's business is organized into five divisions, comprised of the Canadian, United States, Asian and Reinsurance operations and Investment Management Services.

Financial Summary
Manulife Financial Corporation is a leading Canadian-based financial services company operating in 15 countries and territories worldwide. The Company provides annuity, life insurance, 401(k) and pension products. For the six months ended 6/01, revenues rose 5% to C$7.54 billion. Net income before U.S. GAAP rose 21% to C$575 million. Results reflect the transfer of policies from Daihyaku Mutual Life, growth in Hong Kong and improved operating margins.
