Its services include: content creation to provide creative design services to maximize the impact of communications and improve response rates; digital asset management to help its customers leverage their content to reach end-users through multiple marketing channels; production to drive results for its customers cost-effectively through print or the Internet; and distribution to deliver its customers' words and images efficiently and reliably through print or the Internet.

Financial Summary
R.R. Donnelley and Sons Company is a provider of printing and related services to the merchandising, magazine, book, directory, financial and healthcare markets. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues fell 5% to $2.59 billion. Net income fell 80% to $20.7 million. Revenues reflect lower sales of Long-run Magazines, Catalogs and Inserts. Lower income also reflects lower gross margins, higher energy costs and a $74.1 million restructuring and impairment charge.
