Citizens Banking Corporation is a multibank holding company. Citizens provides a full range of banking and financial services to individuals and businesses, including commercial and retail banking, consumer finance, asset management, trust services, and mortgage financing and servicing. Operations are primarily conducted through more than 200 banking offices and 241 ATM locations in Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota, as well as through 26 brokerage centers in Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa.

Financial Summary
CBCF is a multibank holding company for Citizens Bank and Citizens Bank -Illinois, N.A., and for several non-banking subsidiaries. For the six months ended 6/30/01, total interest income rose 1% to $303.8 million. Net interest income after loan loss provision fell 5% to $141.6 million. Net income rose 14% to $51 million. Net interest income reflects loan growth, offset by increased interest paid on long-term debt. Earnings benefited from $5.7 million in investment gains.
