Virage, Inc. is a provider of software products and application services that enable media and entertainment companies, enterprises and consumers to catalog, manage and distribute their video content over the Internet and intranets. For the three months ended 6/30/01, revenues totaled $4 million, up from $1.9 million. Net loss fell 7% to $7.2 million. Results reflect increased revenues from customers purchasing maintenance contracts, partially offset by higher R&D costs.
