Bresler & Reiner, Inc. has two principal activities, residential land development and construction, and rental property ownership and management primarily in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. The Company owns two partially developed residential tracts of land within the greater Washington, D.C. area. On one of these tracts it develops residential lots for sale and constructs townhouses as part of a residential subdivision and on the other tract the Company develops residential lots for sale. The Company may decide to sell certain of its land if it determines that it is in the best interest of the Company to do so. The Company designs and constructs its homes in accordance with its periodic evaluation of the prevailing market for new homes. Its current plan is to continue to build town homes that appeal to the entry-level purchaser. The Company generally avoids custom features and offers a limited number of home models.

Financial Summary

For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues rose 43% to $24.1 million. Net income fell 2% to $4.7 million. Revenues reflect increased rental income from commercial operations. Earnings were partially offset by increased expenses associated with commercial rental operations.
