Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. is engaged primarily in the scheduled transportation of passengers, cargo and mail. The Company's chief source of revenue is scheduled passenger airline service. This service consists of, on average and depending on seasonality, approximately 179 flights per day, with daily service between Hawaii, Las Vegas, Nevada, Los Angeles and San Francisco, California, Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon (Transpac), daily service among the six major islands of Hawaii (Interisland) and twice-weekly service from Hawaii to Pago Pago, American Samoa and Papeete, Tahiti in the South Pacific (Southpac). The Company also provides charter service from Honolulu to Las Vegas and to Anchorage, Alaska, and from Los Angeles to Papeete, Tahiti (Overseas Charter).

Financial Summary
Hawaiian Airlines is engaged in the scheduled transportation of passengers, cargo and mail over a route system which services the six major islands of Hawaii, Las Vegas, and four West Coast cities. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues rose 5% to $304.1 million. Net income rose 58% to $3.2 million. Results reflect higher passenger revenues due to improvements in yield, lower maintenance materials and repair costs and $3.6 million in restructuring credits.
