Acadiana Bancshares, Inc. is the holding company for LBA Savings Bank (the Bank). The Company provides a variety of financial services primarily to individuals and commercial business customers through its four full-service branches in Lafayette, its full-service facility in New Iberia and its loan production office in Eunice, all of which are located in Louisiana. The Bank's primary deposit products are interest-bearing checking accounts and certificates of deposit. Its primary lending products are single-family residential loans, consumer loans and commercial loans. The Company also owns Acadiana Holdings, L.L.C., which was formed in May 2000 for the purposes of acquiring a new facility for the Company headquarters and the Bank's main office. As of December 31, 2000, the Company had total assets of $324.5 million, total deposits of $224.5 million and stockholders' equity of $28.8 million.

Financial Summary
Acadiana Bancshares, Inc. is a bank holding company for LBA Savings Bank, a state chartered bank with four branch offices in LA. For the six months ended 6/30/01, interest income rose 1% to $11.9 million. Net interest income after LLP remained rose 3% to $4.8 million. Net income rose 29% to $1.1 million. Net interest income reflects an increase in average balance of loans and a $176 thousand credit for loan losses. Net income also reflects a $462 thousand gain on the sale of loans.
