covers
approximately
86.6%
of
the
State
of
Sao
Paulo.
The
portion
of
the
State
of
Sao
Paulo
that
is
excluded
from
the
Region
represents
approximately
4%
of
total
lines
in
service
in
the
State
of
Sao
Paulo
and
4%
of
the
population
of
the
State
of
Sao
Paulo.
The
Region
has
58
municipalities
with
populations
in
excess
of
100,000
