Business Summary
Teleflex Incorporated is a manufacturer of precision mechanical push/pull controls for military aircraft. The Company's business is separated into three business segments: Commercial, Medical and Aerospace. The Commercial Segment designs and manufactures proprietary mechanical and electrical controls for the automotive market, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic controls and electronic products for the pleasure marine market and proprietary products for fluid transfer and industrial applications. The Medical Segment manufactures and distributes a broad range of invasive disposable and reusable devices for the urology, gastroenterology, anesthesiology and respiratory care markets worldwide. The Aerospace Segment serves the commercial aerospace and industrial turbo machinery engine markets.

Financial Summary
Teleflex, Inc. designs, manufactures and distributes engineered products and services for the automotive, marine, industrial, medical and aerospace markets worldwide. For the six months ended 7/01/01, revenues increased 9% to $973.7 million. Net income increased 9% to $61 million. Revenues reflect Commercial segment acquisitions, and growth in hospital supply products and cargo system sales. Net income also reflects higher margins in the Aerospace and Medical segments.
