Anheuser-Busch Companies Inc. is the holding company parent of Anheuser-Busch Inc. (ABI). In addition to ABI, which is the world's largest brewer of beer, the Company is the parent corporation to a number of subsidiaries that conduct various other business operations. The Company's operations are comprised of the following business segments: domestic beer, international beer, packaging, entertainment and other.

Financial Summary
Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. is engaged in the production and distribution of beer, and aluminum beverage containers. BUD also operates a chain of theme parks. For the six months ended 6/30/01, net sales rose 5% to $6.36 billion. Net income increased 11% to $918.1 million. Revenues reflect higher domestic beer sales, price increases, and additional discount reductions. Net income also reflects higher gross margins and a $17.8 million gain on sale of SeaWorld Cleveland.
