CEC Entertainment, Inc. is engaged in the family restaurant/entertainment center business. The Company operated, as of March 12, 2001, 328 Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza (Chuck E. Cheese's) restaurants. In addition, as of March 12, 2001, franchisees of the Company operated 54 Chuck E. Cheese's restaurants. Chuck E. Cheese's restaurants offer a variety of pizza, a salad bar, sandwiches and desserts and feature musical and comic entertainment by life-size, computer-controlled robotic characters, family-oriented games, rides and arcade-style activities. The restaurants are intended to appeal to families with children between the ages of two and 12. The Company and its franchisees operate in a total of 45 states, and the Company owns and operates Chuck E. Cheese's restaurants in 37 states and Canada.
