Business Summary
Parker-Hannifin Corporation is a worldwide full-line manufacturer of motion control products, including fluid power systems, electromechanical controls and related components. In addition to motion control products, the Company also is a producer of fluid purification, fluid flow, process instrumentation, air conditioning, refrigeration and electromagnetic shielding and thermal management products. The Company's manufacturing, service, distribution and administrative facilities are located in 38 states, Puerto Rico and worldwide in 45 foreign countries. Its motion control technology is used in the products of its two business segments, Industrial and Aerospace.

Financial Summary
Parker-Hannifin Corp. manufactures motion control products, including fluid power systems, electromechanical controls and related components. For the fiscal year ended 6/30/01, net sales increased 11% to $5.98 billion. Net income before extraordinary item fell 7% to $344.2 million. Revenues reflect sales from acquisitions. Earnings were offset by costs associated with operating realignments and other corporate realignments and higher interest expense.
