Business Summary
OMI Corporation provides seaborne transportation services for crude oil and petroleum products in the international shipping markets. Its customers include independent and state-owned oil companies, oil traders, government entities and various other entities. As of December 31, 2000, the Company owned 23 vessels and one bareboat chartered-in crude tanker. The Company's crude oil tankers include Settebello, Somjin, Sacramento, Pecos, Sabine, Soyang, Columbia and Loire. The Company's product carriers include Elbe, Nile, Volga, Neches, Guadalupe, Isere, Seine, Limar, Shannon, Radiance, Rain, Racer, Severn, Alma, Paulina and Patricia. OMI's Suezmax tankers principally trade from West Africa and the North Sea to the United States Atlantic coast. The product carrier fleet operates worldwide, with the majority trading in the Caribbean to the United States Atlantic coast and the Gulf of Mexico.

Financial Summary
OMI Corp. is a bulk shipping company which provides seaborne transportation services, primarily of crude oil and petroleum products, in the international shipping market. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues rose 72% to $115.9 million. Net income totaled $68 million vs. a loss of $642 thousand. Revenues reflect increased revenues from the crude oil fleet due to the addition or redelivery of vessels. Earnings also reflect increased gains on vessel sales.
