Business Summary
Cyberonics, Inc. designs, develops, manufactures and markets the Neuro Cybernetic Prosthesis (NCP) System, an implantable medical device for the treatment of epilepsy and other debilitating neurological, psychiatric diseases and other disorders. Cyberonics operates its business through three business units, which include the Epilepsy Business Unit, the Depression Business Unit and the Other Indications Business Unit. All three of these units are involved in the designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing of the Company's proprietary NCP System using Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) for the treatment of epilepsy and other debilitating neurological, psychiatric diseases and other disorders.

Financial Summary
Cyberonics, Inc. designs, develops and markets medical devices which provide a novel therapy, vagus nerve stimulation for epilepsy and other debilitating neurological disorders. For the comparable 10 months ended 4/27/01, net sales rose 15% to $43.4 million. Net loss before acct. change totaled $24.7 million, up from $3.5 million. Revenues reflect higher sales in the U.S. market. Higher loss reflects a $6.5 million non-recurring investment banking fee.
