American Classic Voyages Co. provides overnight passenger cruises among the Hawaiian Islands and on the inland rivers and coastal waterways of North America. The Company operates four cruise lines under the names American Hawaii Cruises, The Delta Queen Steamboat Co., Delta Queen Coastal Voyages and United States Lines. American Hawaii provides inter-island cruises on a year-round basis among the Hawaiian Islands. The Delta Queen Steamboat Co. offers cruise vacations on the Mississippi, Ohio, Cumberland, Tennessee, Arkansas, Illinois and Atchafalaya Rivers. United States Lines offers seven-day cruise vacations throughout the Hawaiian Islands, sailing from Oahu to Kauai, Maui and the island of Hawaii.

Financial Summary
AMCV is the largest owner and operator of U.S.-flag, U.S.-crewed passenger vessels. Its cruise lines explore the inland rivers and coastal regions of North America, and sail throughout the Hawaiian Islands. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues rose 40% to $142.3 million. Net loss totalled $20.4 million, up from $5.1 million. Results reflect higher fare revenues and increased passenger air and onboard revenues, offset by lower gross margins and higher marketing costs.
