Insituform Technologies, Inc. specializes in the use of trenchless technologies to rehabilitate, replace, maintain and install underground pipes. The Company uses a variety of trenchless technologies such as Insituform, NuPipe, Pipebursting, Microtunneling, Sliplining, TiteLiner, Thermopipe and Tunneling. Insituform Technologies' principal rehabilitation activities in North America are conducted directly or through subsidiaries that hold the Insituform, NuPipe and Thermopipe process rights for 44 of the 50 states, in addition to Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands and Canada. Outside of North America, the Company conducts Insituform Process or NuPipe Process direct installation operations through its subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, France, Spain, the Netherlands and Belgium.

Financial Summary
Insituform Technologies provides proprietary trench-less technologies for the rehabilitation and improvement of sewer, water, gas and industrial pipes. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues increased 23% to $238 million. Net income increased 11% to $16.1 million. Revenues reflect the acquisition of Kinsel Industries, Inc. Net income was partially offset by an increase in the cost of revenues as a percentage of revenues as a result of the acquisition.
