Business Summary
Cross Media Marketing Corporation, formerly Symposium Corporation, is a cross media direct marketing company that integrates sophisticated marketing skills with new technologies, including e-mail marketing, Web-based systems and interactive voice response, for the sale of multi-magazine subscription packages, discount buying club memberships and telecommunication services. Through inbound and outbound teleservices programs at Media Outsourcing, Inc. (MOS), its principal operating business, the Company contacts and retains critical data on more than 11 million consumers annually. On January 28, 2000, the Company, through MOS, acquired Direct Sales International, LP, a magazine subscription agency that sells new subscriptions to magazines of United States publishers. On November 30, 2000, the Company acquired WeFusion.com, Inc., an application service provider that has developed a database architecture that will enable the Company to develop sophisticated customer profiles.

Financial Summary
XMM is engaged in acquiring established direct marketing companies and then leverage the existing marketing infrastructure and management techniques to attain market presence in the web based economy. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues rose 60% to $43.3 million. Net income applicable to Common totalled $1.6 million, vs. a loss of $32.3 million. Results reflect the inclusion of MOS operations, lower consulting expenses, and lower preferred dividends.
