Business Summary
Superior Industries International, Inc. is principally engaged in the design and manufacture of motor vehicle parts and accessories for sale to original equipment manufacturers and the automotive aftermarket. Its primary products are vehicle aluminum road wheels for the domestic and international OEMs in the automobile industry. Its new production line for aluminum suspension and related underbody components will begin to ship parts to its OEM customers during 2001. The Company's OEM aluminum road wheels are sold for factory installation as optional or standard equipment on selected vehicle models. Customers include Ford, General Motors, DaimlerChrysler, BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, Land Rover, MG Rover, Toyota, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Isuzu.

Financial Summary
Superior Industries Int'l designs and manufactures motor vehicle parts and accessories, primarily aluminum road wheels for the domestic and international original equipment manufacturer (OEM) markets. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues decreased 1% to $328 million. Net income fell 27% to $29.3 million. Revenues reflect decreased unit shipments due to a soft demand for light vehicles. Net income also reflects a $2.5 million write-off due to a new business start-up.
