The Company's real estate investment activities primarily consist of acquiring, developing, managing and repositioning commercial and multi-family residential real estate properties; investing in high-yielding real estate loans and purchasing at a discount portfolios of loans, backed by real estate, and investing in unrated and non-investment grade rated commercial mortgage-backed securities. The Company and its predecessors have been engaged in the development, ownership and management of commercial and multi-family residential properties since 1969.

Financial Summary
LNR Property Corp. is a real estate investment and management company engaged in the development, ownership and management of commercial and multi-family real estate properties. For the six months ended 5/31/01, total revenues increased 9% to $241.3 million. Net income rose 17% to $64.3 million. Results reflect a growing portfolio of high-yielding loans, increased gains on the sale of real estate and reduced depreciation and rental operations costs.
