Business Summary
SCOR (the Group), acting through its two property-casualty and life/accident and health operating divisions, its seven subsidiary companies and their 21 branches and representatives offices, provides treaty and facultative reinsurance on a worldwide basis to property-casualty and life insurers. The Group's reinsurance operations are conducted through the property-casualty reinsurance and life reinsurance operating divisions of SCOR, respectively known as Division SCOR Reassurance and Division SCOR Vie, as well as through seven European, North American and Asian subsidiaries, each of which operates primarily in its regional market. SCOR and its operating divisions, SCOR U.S. and Commercial Risk Partners, Ltd. accounted for more than 80% of the Group's gross written premiums in 1999. The life, accident, disability, health, unemployment and long-term care operations of the Group are conducted mainly through Division SCOR Vie.

Financial Summary
SCOR is a France-based provider of treaty and facultative reinsurance on a worldwide basis to property-casualty and life insurers through seven subsidiary companies and 21 branches and representative offices. For the fiscal year ended 12/31/00, total revenues rose 23% to EUR3.38 billion. Net income fell 13% to EUR77M. Results reflect an increase in property-casualty premiums earned, offset by higher policy claims and losses and policy acquisition costs.
