Burnham Pacific Properties Inc. (Burnham) is a real estate operating company which has historically acquired, rehabilitated, developed and managed retail properties nationwide. The Company's properties are primarily neighborhood and community shopping centers located in major metropolitan areas. Burnham owns its properties and conducts substantially all of its business through the Operating Partnership, of which the Company is the sole general partner and, as the holder of the majority of the common limited partnership units, the owner of a substantial majority of the economic interests.

Financial Summary
Burnham Pacific Properties is a real estate investment trust that focuses on value-added retail real estate opportunities throughout the U.S. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues fell 36% to $39 million. Net income applicable to Common totaled $6.7 million, vs. a loss of $3.8 million. Revenues reflect asset sales and the termination of the CalPERS Joint Venture. Net income reflects the absence of depreciation expense due to the Co's plan of liquidation.
