Business Summary
Carnival Corporation, including its consolidated subsidiaries, is a multiple-night cruise company. The Company offers a broad range of cruise brands serving the contemporary cruise sector of the vacation market through Carnival Cruise Lines and Costa; the premium cruise sector through Holland America Line; and the luxury cruise sector through Cunard Line, Seabourn Cruise Line and Windstar Cruises. In addition to its cruise operations, the Company operates a tour business, through Holland America Line-Westours, Inc., which markets sightseeing tours both separately and as a part of its cruise/tour packages.

Financial Summary
CCL operates five separate cruise lines under the names Carnival Cruise Lines, Cunard Line, Holland America Line, Seaborn Cruise Line and Windstar Cruises and a tour business, Holland America Westours. For the six months ended 5/01, revenues rose 23% to $2.09 billion. Net income fell 16% to $314.9 million. Revenues reflect the acquisition of Costa and increased capacity and occupancy rates. Net income was offset by increased debt related to the Costa acquisition.
