Financial Summary
SFE is engaged in identifying, developing and operating emerging technology companies, focusing primarily on the infrastructure technology industry. For the six months ended 6/01, revenues fell 16% to $1.09 billion. Net loss totaled $360.2 million vs. an income of $31.8 million. Revenues reflect general economic weakness. Net loss reflects the inclusion of a lower gain on the sale of public holdings and a $16.5 million unrealized loss on financial instruments.
