Radio One Inc. is the seventh largest radio broadcasting company in the United States based on pro forma 2000 gross revenue. The Company is also the largest radio broadcasting company in the United States primarily targeting African-Americans. After completing its pending acquisitions and divestitures, including its acquisition of Blue Chip Broadcasting, Inc., the Company will own and/or operate 63 radio stations in 22 markets. Thirty-four of these stations (24 FM and 10 AM) are in 14 of the top 20 African-American radio markets: Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Detroit, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Houston, Miami, Baltimore, Dallas, St. Louis, Cleveland, Boston, Richmond and Charlotte.

Financial Summary
Radio One is a radio broadcasting co. that targets primarily African-Americans. After pending acquisitions, ROIA will own 63 radio stations, 34 of which are located in 14 of 20 largest African-American markets in the U.S. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues totaled $110.2 million, up from $54.8 million. Net loss applicable to Common and before extraordinary item totaled $34.7 million vs. an income of $7.6 million. Results reflect an acquisition, offset by higher amortization charges.
