Amerisource Bergen Corporation, formed as the result of a merger of equals between AmeriSource Health Corporation and Bergen Brunswig Corporation, operates in two business segments, pharmaceutical distribution and PharMerica. Pharmaceutical distribution includes the Company's core wholesale pharmaceutical drug distribution business, ASD Specialty Healthcare, the Company's pharmaceutical alternate site distribution business, and American Health Packaging, its pharmaceutical repackaging business. Pharmaceutical distribution also includes a number of smaller specialty units in areas such as management reimbursement consulting services and third-party logistics services for pharmaceutical manufacturers. PharMerica is a national provider of institutional pharmacy services in long-term care and alternate site settings. PharMerica also provides mail-order pharmacy services to chronically and catastrophically ill patients under workers' compensation programs.

Financial Summary
AmerisourceBergen Corp. is a wholesale distributor of pharmaceuticals and related healthcare services serving its customers nationwide through 21 drug distribution facilities and three specialty products distribution facilities. For the nine months ended 6/01, revenues rose 20% to $10.31 billion. Net income increased 26% to $89.2 million. Results reflect revenue growth with the Veterans Administration and Novation group purchasing organization, and warehouse efficiencies.
