Business Summary
SurgiCare, Inc. offers licensed, freestanding Ambulatory Surgery Centers for use by physicians and its physician partners and their patients. Freestanding ambulatory surgery centers are licensed outpatient surgery centers, generally equipped and staffed for a wide variety of surgical procedures. Bellaire SurgiCare, Inc., which was acquired in a reverse merger on July 21, 1999, owns and operates an ambulatory surgery center located in Houston, Texas. Through its wholly owned subsidiary, Town & Country Surgicare, Inc., the Company owns a 60% interest in SurgiCare Memorial Village, L.P. Through its wholly owned subsidary, Baytown Surgicare, Inc., SurgiCare owns a 10% interest in Jacinto Surgery Center, L.P. These centers provide the venue for a wide range of high-volume, lower-risk surgical procedures within a multi-specialty environment. Surgeons specializing in podiatry, orthopedics, pain management, gynecology, plastics and general surgery utilize these facilities.

Financial Summary
SurgiCare, Inc. offers licensed, freestanding Ambulatory Surgery Centers for use by physicians and its physician partners and their patients. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues totalled $6.2 million, up from $2.6 million. Net income applicable to Common increased 28% to $651 thousand. Revenues reflect an increase in the number of patients treated due to the addition of the Memorial Village Surgery Center. Net income also reflects higher gross margins.
