Business Summary
CVB Financial Corp. principal business is to serve as a holding company for Citizens Business Bank (Bank), Community Trust Deed Services, CVB Ventures, Inc. and for other banking or banking-related subsidiaries that the Company may establish or acquire. As a legal entity separate and distinct from its subsidiaries, CVB's principal source of funds is, and will continue to be, dividends paid by and other funds advanced from primarily the Bank. Legal limitations are imposed on the amount of dividends that may be paid and loans that may be made by the Bank to CVB. As of December 31, 2000, the Company had $2.3 billion in total consolidated assets, $1.03 billion in consolidated net loans and $1.6 billion in total consolidated deposits.

Financial Summary
CVBF is engaged in traditional banking activities and also provides trust services through its asset management division. For the six months ended 6/30/01, interest income rose 9% to $79.2 million. Net interest income after loan loss prov. rose 7% to $48.1 million. Net income rose 13% to $18.5 million. Net interest income reflects greater average balances of earning assets, partially offset by lower net interest margins. Net income reflects increased income from service charges.
