Business Summary
PepsiAmericas, Inc. manufactures, packages, sells and distributes carbonated and non-carbonated Pepsi-Cola beverages and a variety of other beverages in the United States, Central Europe and the Caribbean. The Company's business relationship with PepsiCo Inc. allows it to account for about 21% of all Pepsi-Cola products sold in the United States. The Company sells a variety of brands that it bottles under licenses from PepsiCo or PepsiCo joint ventures. In some territories, PepsiAmericas manufactures, packages, sells and distributes products under brands licensed by companies other than PepsiCo, and in some territories the Company distributes its own brands, such as the Toma brands in the Czech Republic.

Financial Summary
PepsiAmericas, Inc. is engaged in the production and distribution of Pepsi-Cola brand products and a variety of other non-alcoholic beverage products. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenue rose 27% to $1.56 billion. Net income from continuing operations rose 18% to $48.2 million. Revenue reflect sales contributed by acquired territories and improved pricing. Earnings were partially offset by increased personnel costs and a $4.6 million charge related to organizational changes.
