Business Summary
Triumph Group, Inc. designs, engineers, manufactures, repairs, overhauls and distributes aircraft components, such as mechanical and electromechanical control systems, aircraft and engine accessories, auxiliary power units (APUs), avionics and aircraft instruments. Triumph serves commercial airlines and air cargo carriers, as well as original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of aerospace vehicles, commercial and military aircraft and aircraft components. The Structural Components segment performs stretch forming, bending, dieforming, machining, milling, welding, assembly and other fabrication on aircraft wings, fuselages and skins for aircraft produced by OEMs. The Flight Controls and Instrumentation segment designs and engineers mechanical and electromechanical controls such as remote valve operators and push/pull controls for OEMs and commercial airlines and general aviation. The Subassembly Components segment performs repair and overhaul services on APUs and components for APUs.

Financial Summary
Triumph Group designs, engineers, manufactures, repairs, overhauls and distributes aircraft components, processes, converts and distributes steel and steel products, and erects structural framework for buildings and bridges. For the three months ended 6/30/01, net sales rose 19% to $153.5 million. Net income rose 57% to $13 million. Results reflect increased participation in the expanding regional jet market and the absence of goodwill amortization.
