Polymer Research Corp. of America is principally engaged in research and development in polymer chemistry, on a contract basis, particularly in the application of chemical "grafting," such as techniques for modification of organic and inorganic substances. The Company also manufactures and sells products arising from research activities and textile printing inks. Polymers are essentially compounds of high molecular weight, such as plastics and resins. The Company owns 10 patents for its chemical grafting technology. Chemical grafting refers to processes by which surfaces are bonded together, or a coating is affixed to a surface or in depth, through various polymerization reactions. Research and development contract work for specific application of its chemical grafting techniques has been done for pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers of industrial equipment, tires, packaging material, pipes, tubes and plastic films and other enterprises.

Financial Summary
Polymer Research Corp. of America engages in polymer chemistry research and development on a contractual basis for applications of chemical ``grafting'' for surface modification of organic and inorganic substances. PROA also manufactures and sells textile printing inks. For the six months ended 6/30/01, total revenues increased 1% to $2.9 million. Net income fell from $137 thousand to $284. Results reflect an increase in research sales, offset by an increase in S/G/A expenses.
