For the 13 weeks ended 6/2/01, net sales increased 10% to $160.8 million. Net income decreased 70% to $1.2 million. Revenues reflect an increase in the number of stores in operation. Lower income reflects lower gross margins due to the liquidation of aged products and higher operating costs.
