Business Summary
The Pepsi Bottling Group, Inc. is a manufacturer, seller and distributor of Pepsi-Cola beverages. Pepsi-Cola beverages sold by the Company include Pepsi-Cola, Diet Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Lipton Brisk, Lipton's Iced Tea, Pepsi One, Slice, Mug, Aquafina, Starbucks Frappaccino, Fruitworks, Sierra Mist and, outside the United States, 7up, Pepsi Max, Mirinda and Kas. The Company has the exclusive right to manufacture, sell and distribute Pepsi-Cola beverages in all or a portion of 41 states, the District of Columbia, eight provinces in Canada, Spain, Greece and Russia. In some of its territories, the Company also has the right to manufacture, sell and distribute soft drink products of other companies, including Dr Pepper and 7up in the United States.

Financial Summary
The Pepsi Bottling Group is engaged in the manufacture, sale and distribution of Pepsi-Cola beverages including Pepsi-Cola, Diet Pepsi, Mountain Dew and other brands of carbonated soft drinks and other ready-to-drink beverages. For the 24 weeks ended 6/16/01, revenues rose 7% to $3.71 billion. Net income rose 39% to $142 million. Results reflect higher worldwide case volume, higher net revenue per case, improved operating margins, and Canadian tax benefits.
