Business Summary
Tredegar Corporation is engaged, directly or through subsidiaries, in the manufacture of plastic films and aluminum extrusions. The Company also has two operating subsidiaries focused on healthcare-related technologies and an investment subsidiary. The Company is divided into a film products segment, an aluminum extrusions segment, and a technology segment. The Company's film products segment manufactures plastic films for disposable personal hygiene products and packaging, medical, industrial and agricultural products. The Company's aluminum extrusions segment manufactures mill, anodized and painted aluminum extrusions for sale directly to fabricators and distributors that use aluminum extrusions to produce curtain walls, architectural shapes, tub and shower doors, window components, ladders, among others. The Company's technology segment interests include Molecumetics, Ltd., Therics, Inc. and Tredegar Investments.

Financial Summary
Tredegar is engaged in the manufacture of plastic films, aluminum extrusions and vinyl extrusions. TG also has interests in various technology-based businesses. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues fell 21% to $385.6 million. Net income from continuing operations fell 69% to $14 million. Revenues reflect reduced aluminum extrusion customer orders and lower demand for diaper backsheet film. Earnings also reflect losses on the Tredegar Venture portfolio, vs. gains in prior period.
