Business Summary
Autoliv Inc., an automotive safety supplier, develops, markets and manufactures airbags, seat belts, safety electronics, steering wheels, anti-whiplash systems, seat components and child seats. The Company's business mission is to develop, produce and sell systems worldwide for mitigation of injuries to automobile occupants and pedestrians, and avoidance of traffic accidents. Autoliv has 80 subsidiaries and joint ventures in over 30 vehicle-producing countries. In addition, Autoliv has eight technical centers around the world, including 19 crash test tracks.

Financial Summary
Autoliv Inc., designs, develops modules and components for passenger and driver-side airbags, side-impact airbag protection systems, seat belts, steering wheels and other safety systems and products. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues fell 2% to $2.11 billion. Net income fell 54% to $50.8 million. Revenues reflect currency translation effects. Lower income also reflects higher raw material prices and an increase in interest expense.
