CIGNA Corporation provides insurance and related financial services including life/health, managed care, annuity, retirement and investment products. For the six months ended 6/30/01, total revenues decreased 5% to $9.40 billion. Net income increased 22% to $528 million. Revenues reflect a decrease in premiums and fees and a loss on investments vs. a gain. Net income reflects a decrease in benefits, losses and settlement expenses.
