Courier Corporation is focused on streamlining and enhancing the process by which printed books and digital content reach end user markets, primarily for educational, religious and specialty book publishers. Courier has three lines of business: full-service book manufacturing, customized education and, beginning in fiscal 2001 with the acquisition of Dover Publications, Inc., specialized publishing. The Book Manufacturing Segment is a book manufacturer of such products as Bibles, educational and consumer books, and technical documentation primarily for education, religious and specialty book publishers. Courier's customized education segment provides Internet-based solutions for educators; and is a direct marketer of educational materials to families engaged in educating children at home. Dover is a publisher of books in specialty categories, including fine and commercial arts, children's books, crafts, musical scores, graphic design, mathematics and stationery items, among others.

Financial Summary
CRRC is a book manufacturer in the Northeast offering services from preparation, production, media replication, kitting and packaging through storage and distribution. For the nine months ended 6/30/01, sales rose 11% to $152.1 million. Net income rose 14% to $8.1 million. Revenues reflect additional sales from the acquisition of Dover Publications. Net income also benefitted from the sale of Home School assets and the sale of the Raymond, NH facility.
