Business Summary
Cascade Corporation is a manufacturer of attachments, hose reels, sideshifters, hydraulic cylinders and related replacement parts, primarily for the lift truck industry. The Company's attachment products include an extensive line of hydraulically actuated attachments designed for mounting on industrial lift trucks. The primary function of these products is to increase the scope and efficiency of materials handling applications normally performed by lift trucks. Acquisitions in 1996 and 1997 expanded the attachment and hydraulic cylinder product capabilities and broadened the Company's focus to include fork products, also primarily for the lift truck industry.

Financial Summary
Cascade Corporation manufactures and markets masts, attachments, hose reels, sideshifters, hydraulic cylinders and related products for the lift truck industry. For the three months ended 4/30/01, revenues fell 10% to $80.5 million. Net income applicable to Common fell 3% to $4.9 million. Revenues reflect decreased lift truck orders in North America and Europe. Earnings were partially offset by lower level of capital expenditures and decreased bad debt expense.
