Business Summary
Cox Radio, Inc. is a national radio broadcast company whose business is acquiring, developing and operating radio stations located throughout the United States. Cox Radio, an indirect majority-owned subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, Inc., upon completion of all pending transactions, will own or operate, or provide sales and marketing services for 83 radio stations (68 FM and 15 AM) clustered in 18 markets. Since 1998, Cox Radio has actively managed its portfolio of radio stations through selected acquisitions, dispositions and exchanges, as well as through the use of local marketing agreements (LMAs) and joint sales agreements (JSAs). Under an LMA or a JSA, the company operating a station provides programming or sales and marketing or a combination of such services.

Financial Summary
CXR is a national radio broadcasting company that operates, acquires and develops radio stations in the U.S. As of 12/00, CXR owns and/or operates 83 radio stations in 18 markets. For the six months ended 6/30/01, net revenues increased 13% to $194.4 million. Net income before accounting change decreased 91% to $4.3 million. Revenues benefitted from the acquisition of radio stations. Net income reflects the inclusion of a lower gain on the sale of radio stations.
