ACME Communications, Inc. is in the business of acquiring independently owned stations, under-performing stations and construction permits for new stations in medium-sized markets across the United States. The Company currently owns and operates ten broadcast television stations. Nine of its stations are network affiliates of The WB Network, making the Company the third largest WB Network affiliated station group in the United States. Like The WB Network, the Company targets its programming at younger audiences, in particular, young adults, teens and kids. Its programming includes The WB Network prime time programming (at nine of its ten stations); Kids' WB! (at nine of its ten stations); syndicated programming; and local programming.

Financial Summary
ACME Communications owns and operates ten broadcast television stations in medium-sized markets across the United States. Nine of the stations are a network affiliate of the WB Network. For the six months ended 6/30/01, net revenues fell less than 1% to $35.4 million. Net loss rose 27% to $13.1 million. Revenues reflect lower advertising demand. Higher loss suffered from increases in staffing and sales expenses, and higher interest expenses.
