Amgen uses wholesale distributors of pharmaceutical products as the principal means of distributing the Company's products to clinics, hospitals and pharmacies.

For the six months ended 6/01, revenues rose 9% to $1.89 billion. Net income rose 10% to $626.8 million. Results reflect increased demand for Epogen due to growth in the U.S. dialysis patient population. Results also reflect higher expenses incurred by Kirin-Amgen Inc. last year.
