Business Summary
Exelon Corporation is the holding company of PECO Energy Company (PECO) and Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd). Exelon, through subsidiaries including PECO and ComEd, operates in three business segments, Energy Delivery, Generation and Enterprises. Energy Delivery consists of the retail electricity distribution and transmission businesses of ComEd in northern Illinois and PECO in southeastern Pennsylvania, and the natural gas distribution business of PECO in the Pennsylvania counties surrounding the City of Philadelphia. Generation consists of electric generating facilities, power marketing operations and equity interests in Sithe Energies, Inc. and AmerGen Energy Company, LLC. Enterprises consists of competitive retail energy sales, energy and infrastructure services, communications and related investments.

Financial Summary
Exelon Corp. is an electric utility holding company for ComEd, PECO Energy Company, Genco and other subsidiaries. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues totalled $7.47 billion, up from $2.74 billion. Net income before acct. change and extraordinary item totalled $702 million, up from $287 million. Revenues reflect an increase in the Company's Energy Delivery, Generation and Enterprise segments. Earnings also reflect an increase in operating margins.
