Business Summary
CNS, Inc. is in the business of developing and marketing consumer health care products, including the Breathe Right nasal strip. The Breathe Right nasal strip improves breathing by reducing nasal airflow resistance. It can be effective in providing temporary relief for nasal congestion, reducing snoring and reducing breathing difficulties due to a deviated nasal septum. In 2000, the Company expanded its Breathe Right product line to include nasal strips for colds with Vicks mentholated vapors that are sized for the entire family, and nasal strips for children that are available in multiple colors.

Financial Summary
CNS, Inc. develops and markets consumer health care products, including the Breathe Right nasal strip. The Breathe Right nasal strip improves breathing by reducing nasal airflow resistance. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues rose 52% to $42.6 million. Net loss rose 3% to $6.6 million. Revenues reflect increased international sales of Breathe Right nasal strips in Japan. Net loss reflects increased advertising expenses and $1.1 million restructuring charge.
