Dorel Industries, Inc. is a vertically integrated consumer products manufacturer and distributor specializing in ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture, juvenile products, and home furnishings. Dorel's products include a wide variety of RTA furniture for home and office use and juvenile furniture and accessories, such as infant car seats, strollers, high chairs, toddler beds and cribs. The Company also produces home furnishings, such as metal folding chairs, tables, bunk beds, futons and step stools, and a mid-market line of case goods consisting of bedroom sets, wall units and entertainment units. Dorel sells its products primarily to major retail chains including mass merchant discount chains, specialty stores, department stores, hardware/home centers, independent stores, and catalogue stores. The Company's subsidiaries include Cosco, Inc., Dorel (U.K.) Ltd., Charleswood Corporation, Infantino, Inc., Leadra Design Inc., Maxi-Miliaan B.V., and Ameriwood Industries.

Financial Summary
DIIBF is a consumer products manufacturer, specializing in ready-to-assemble furniture, juvenile products and home furnishings. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues rose 38% to $463.8 million. Net income from continuing operations rose less than 1% to $22.2 million. Revenues reflect an acquisition and an increase in sales in the juvenile segment. Higher income was partially offset by higher amortization charges and an increase in interest expense.
