Financial Summary
Allergan, Inc. is a provider of eye care and specialty pharmaceutical products throughout the world with products in the eye care pharmaceutical, ophthalmic surgical device, over-the-counter contact lens, movement disorder and dermatological markets. For the six months ended 6/29/01, net sales rose 6% to $854.8 million. Net income before acct. change fell 21% to $75.8 million. Results reflect increased U.S. Eye Care Pharmaceutical sales, offset by an increase in R&D cost.
