Annapolis Bancorp, Inc., formerly known as Annapolis National Bancorp, Inc., is a bank holding company for BankAnnapolis (the Bank), which currently operates as a full-service commercial bank. The Bank's principal business consists of originating loans and attracting deposits. The Bank originates commercial loans, commercial real estate loans, construction loans, one- to four-family real estate loans, home equity and consumer loans. The Bank also invests in United States Treasury and United States Government agency securities, as well as other securities issued by or guaranteed by the federal government.

Financial Summary
Annapolis Bancorp, Inc. is a holding company for Annapolis National Bank. For the six months ended 6/30/01, total interest income rose 11% to $5.6 million. Net interest income after loan loss prov. rose 2% to $3.2 million. Net income fell 44% to $200 thousand. Net interest income reflects increased loan volume, partially offset by higher interest on deposits. Lower income reflects an increase in personnel expenses and increased marketing efforts.
