Meadowbrook Insurance is a holding Company for Star Insurance Co., Savers Property and Casualty Insurance Co. and American Indemnity Insurance Co. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues rose 11% to $108.4 million. Net loss totalled $7.3 million vs. income of $1 million. Revenues reflect growth in net earned premiums from new and existing programs and an increase in average invested assets and pre-tax yields. Net loss reflects increased loss adjustment expenses.
