Dycom Industries, Inc. is a provider of specialty contracting services, including engineering, construction and maintenance services to telecommunications providers throughout the United States. The Company's comprehensive range of telecommunications infrastructure services include the engineering, placement and maintenance of aerial, underground, and buried fiber-optic, coaxial and copper cable systems owned by local and long distance communications carriers and cable television multiple system operators. Additionally, the Company provides similar services related to the installation of integrated voice, data, and video local and wide area networks within office buildings and similar structures. The Company also provides underground locating services to various utilities and provides construction and maintenance services to electrical utilities.

Financial Summary
Dycom Industries, Inc. is a provider of engineering, construction and maintenance services to telecommunications providers and utility line locating and electrical services. For the nine months ended 4/28/01, total revenues increased 11% to $632.1 million. Net income rose 10% to $47.8 million. Revenues reflect specialty contracting services provided to telecommunications companies. Earnings were partially offset by higher selling, general and depreciation expenses.
