Capital Senior Living Corporation is an operator of senior living communities in the United States. As of December 31, 2000, the Company owned interests in and/or operated 50 communities in 21 states with a capacity of approximately 8,200 residents, including 40 communities in which it owned interests and 10 communities that it managed for third parties pursuant to multi-year management contracts. As of December 31, 2000, the Company was developing six new communities, which will have a capacity of approximately 1,000 residents, and was expanding one existing community to accommodate approximately 25 additional residents. As of December 31, 2000, the Company also operated one home care agency. Capital provides a wide array of senior living services to the elderly at its communities.
