Business Summary
Intervisual Books, Inc. is engaged in the business of creating and producing a diversified line of pop-up and dimensional novelty books that it sells to domestic retailers and international and United States publishers. To a lesser extent, the Company also produces pop-up and dimensional game boards and playsets, as well as cloth books. The Company, as a packager, develops its own books and may grant the exclusive publishing rights to one publisher per country. It also develops books in partnership with publishers to produce pop-up versions of existing titles owned by the publishers, including the works of artists or writers controlled by the publishers. In some cases, the Company will self-publish certain titles and offer them directly to retailers. In substantially all cases, the Company retains the exclusive right to produce these books.

Financial Summary
Intervisual Books, Inc. creates and produces interactive and three dimensional books designed for children and adults. IVBK's products inclued picture books, playsets, board books, and gift books. For the six months ended 6/01, revenues rose 11% to $9.2 million. Net loss fell 51% to $497 thousand. Revenues reflect an increase in packaging and publishing sales. Lower loss reflects improved gross margins on publishing sales and reduced personnel expenses.
