Business Summary
The Dun & Bradstreet Corp. (D&B) is a worldwide provider of business information and related decision-support services that has been in business since 1841. D&B operates offices in 33 countries, conducts operations in six other countries through minority interests in joint-venture companies and operates through independent correspondents in more than 150 additional countries. At the core of D&B's business is a database that contains information on more than 62 million businesses from more than 200 countries. The database is also the platform from which D&B offers an array of products, services and applications to consumers of business information. D&B was formed as a result of the spin-off of Dun & Bradstreet Corporation's two former businesses, The Dun & Bradstreet operating company and Moody's Investors Service, into standalone public companies. The new D&B Corporation is comprised of the D&B operating company that was renamed The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation after the spin-off.

Financial Summary
The Dun and Bradstreet Corp. is a provider of business-to-business credit, marketing and purchasing information and commercial receivables management services, with offices in 36 countries. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues fell 4% to $678.3 million. Net income from continuing operations rose 41% to $67.6 million. Revenues suffered from negative effects of foreign currency exchange. Earnings reflect cost savings achieved through restructuring actions.
