Business Summary
CNB Financial Corp. is a bank holding company whose principal business is to provide, through its principal subsidiary, Central National Bank, Canajoharie (the Bank), comprehensive banking services. The Company offers its services through a network of 29 branches and two financial services centers, located in Central New York, in the counties of Montgomery, Fulton, Chenango, Herkimer, Otsego, Oneida, Saratoga, Schoharie and Schenectady. The Bank provides retail and commercial banking services for individuals and small to medium-sized businesses primarily in its market area, including accepting time, demand and savings deposits, and making secured and unsecured commercial, real estate and consumer loans and leases. The Bank also makes certain insurance and investment products available to its customers through a third-party vendor. The Bank's lending activities are primarily in agricultural, commercial, real estate and consumer loans and in indirect and lease financing for automobiles.

Financial Summary
CNBF is a bank holding company for Central National Bank, Canajoharie, and Central Asset Management. For the six months ended 6/01, total interest income fell 1% to $34.3 million. Net interest income after loan loss provision fell 7% to $15.3 million. Net income before acct'g change fell 3% to $4 million. Net interest income reflects decreased interest income and a lower net interest margin. Lower earnings were partially offset by net gains on securities transactions.
