Business Summary
Foster Wheeler Ltd.'s, formerly known as Foster Wheeler Corporation, business falls within two groups, the Engineering and Construction Group (E&C Group) and the Energy Equipment Group. Commencing in fiscal 2000, the Company's Power Systems Group was combined with the Energy Equipment Group, where the rest of the Company's power expertise resides. The Engineering and Construction Group designs, engineers and constructs petroleum, chemical, petrochemical and alternative-fuels facilities and related infrastructure, including power generation and distribution facilities, production terminals, pollution control equipment and water treatment facilities and process plants for the production of fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals, dyestuffs, fragrances, flavors, food additives and vitamins. The Energy Equipment Group designs, manufactures and erects steam generating and auxiliary equipment for power stations and industrial markets worldwide.

Financial Summary
Foster Wheeler offers a broad range of design, engineering, construction, manufacturing, project development and management, research, plant operation, and environmental services. For the six months ended 6/29/01, revenues fell 17% to $1.54 billion. Net income before acct. change fell 41% to $10.1 million. Results reflect fewer new orders booked in Engineering and Construction, a $5 million loss on the sale of two hydrogen plants, and a $1.6 million charge related to CEO retirement.
