Business Summary
ArvinMeritor, Inc. is a global supplier of integrated systems, modules and components serving light vehicle, commercial truck, trailer and specialty original equipment manufacturers and certain aftermarkets. The Company also provides coil-coating services to the transportation, appliance, construction and furniture industries. ArvinMeritor was incorporated in connection with the merger of Meritor Automotive, Inc. and Arvin Industries, Inc. that took effect on July 7, 2000 in Indiana. The Company serves its customers worldwide through three operating segments: Light Vehicle Systems (LVS), Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) and Light Vehicle Aftermarket (LVA). The Company's other activities include its coil-coating operation.

Financial Summary
ARM is a supplier of a broad range of components and systems for use in commercial, specialty and light vehicles, including axles, brakes, transmissions, clutches, drivelines, wheels, filters, exhaust systems, ride control, door systems and roofs. For the nine months ended 6/01, sales rose 51% to $5.24 billion. Net income fell 79% to $41 million. Results reflect increased sales in the light vehicle systems segment due to the merger with Arvin, offset by restructuring charges.
