Exxon Mobil Corporation (ExxonMobil), incorporated in 1882, is engaged in exploration for, and mining and sale of coal, copper and other minerals. The Company manufactures and markets basic petrochemicals, including olefins, aromatics, polyethylene and polypropylene plastics and a wide variety of specialty products. The Company also has interests in electric power generation facilities, and affiliates of ExxonMobil conduct extensive research programs in support of these businesses. The Company operates or markets products in the United States, and approximately 200 other countries and territories, through its divisions and affiliated companies.

Financial Summary
Exxon Mobil Corporation is engaged in the exploration, production, manufacture, transportation and sale of crude oil, natural gas, and petroleum products, and the manufacture of petrochemicals, packaging films and specialty chemicals. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues rose 3% to $113.48 billion. Net income before extraordinary item rose 32% to $9.25 billion. Results reflect higher natural gas realizations and improved refinery operations.
