The Company has investments in 267 income-producing real estate properties and mortgages associated with the delivery of healthcare services. The Company's real estate portfolio, containing approximately 9.7 million square feet, was comprised of nine facility types and was operated pursuant to contractual arrangements with 46 healthcare providers. The Company's mortgage portfolio was comprised of four facility types and was operated by 24 healthcare providers. The Company provides property management services for 263 healthcare-related properties nationwide and third party asset management services for 273 properties nationwide.

Financial Summary
HR is a real estate investment trust that integrates owning, managing and developing income producing real estate properties related to health services throughout the U.S. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues fell less than 1% $97.7 million. Net income applicable to Com. decreased 4% to $36.7 million. Revenues reflect decreased mortgage interest income. Earnings also reflect increases in property operating and depreciation expenses.
