Business Summary
Union Acceptance Corp. is a specialized finance company engaged in acquiring and servicing automobile retail installment sales contracts and installment loan agreements. The retail installment contracts are originated by dealerships affiliated with major domestic and foreign manufacturers, and the loan agreements are originated by the Company as a result of referrals by the dealerships. The Company focuses its efforts on acquiring receivables on late model used and, to a lesser extent, new automobiles made to purchasers who exhibit a favorable credit profile (Tier I). The Company currently acquires receivables in 40 states from or through referrals by more than 5,500 manufacturer-franchised auto dealerships.

Financial Summary
Union Acceptance Corp. is a specialized finance company engaged in acquiring and servicing automobile retail installment sales contracts and installment loan agreements originated by dealers affiliated with major manufacturers. For the nine months ended 3/31/01, total revenues rose 25% to $94.8 million. Net income rose 23% to $13.4 million. Results reflect higher average receivable balances, partially offset by increased personnel and outside service expenses.
