Just For Feet, Inc. operates superstores and smaller specialty stores that sell brand-name athletic and outdoor footwear and apparel. As of January 30, 1999, there were 132 Just For Feet superstores operating in 27 states and Puerto Rico, including 12 franchised superstores. The prototype 15,000- to 20,000-square-foot Just For Feet superstore carries approximately 2,500 to 4,500 styles of athletic and outdoor footwear. Just For Feet carries athletic and outdoor footwear brands including Nike, Reebok, New Balance, Adidas, Fila, K-Swiss, Asics, Converse, Timberland and Rockport. The Company operates in the smaller format specialty store market of the industry through Athletic Attic and Imperial Sports. As of January 30, 1999, there were 141 Company-owned and 42 franchised specialty stores in 21 states and Puerto Rico. Athletic Attic stores are located primarily in enclosed shopping malls, and Imperial Sports operates primarily in major enclosed shopping malls and retail strip centers.

Financial Summary
Just For Feet, Inc. is a national retailer of athletic and outdoor footwear and activewear for men, women and children primarily in the southeast and southwest regions of the U.S. For the six months ended 7/31/99, net sales rose 37% to $446.8 million. Net loss before acct. change totalled $21.3 million vs. an income $13.8 million. Revenues reflect the opening of 58 new superstores and 68 new specialty stores. Net losses reflect higher store operating and personnel expenses.
