Laserscope manufactures, sells and services a line of medical laser systems and related energy devices for the medical office, outpatient surgical center and hospital markets. The Company's product portfolio consists of more than 350 products, including KTP/532, CO2, Nd:YAG, Er:YAG, and Dye medical laser systems and related energy delivery devices. The Company's primary medical markets include dermatology, aesthetic surgery and urology. Its secondary markets include ear, nose and throat surgery, general surgery, gynecology and photodynamic therapy.

Financial Summary
Laserscope develops, manufactures, markets and support surgical lasers and other surgical systems, related instrumentation and disposable supplies. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues fell 2% to $17.5 million. Net loss totaled $308 thousand, up from $49 thousand. Revenues suffered from a decrease in the average selling prices. Higher loss also reflects higher start-up expenses such as workshops and marketing material to support the McKesson distribution agreement.
