ESB Financial Corporation is a thrift holding company that provides a wide range of retail and commercial financial products and services to customers in Western Pennsylvania through its wholly owned subsidiary bank, ESB Bank, F.S.B. The Company is also the parent company of PennFirst Financial Services, Inc., which is engaged in the management of certain investment activities on behalf of the Company, PennFirst Capital Trust I, a Delaware statutory business trust established to facilitate the issuance of trust preferred securities to the public by the Company and THF, Inc., which was established to provide loan-closing services and issue title insurance.

Financial Summary
ESBF is a thrift holding co. for ESB Bank, F.S.B., Troy Hill Federal Savings Bank, Pennfirst Financial Serv. and AMSCO, Inc. For the six months ended 6/30/01, interest income increased 7% to $40.7 million. Net interest income after loan loss provision fell 1% to $10 million. Net income fell less than 1% to $3.5 million. Net interest income after LLP reflects loan growth, offset by the absence of loan loss recoveries. Earnings also reflect higher occupancy and equipment costs.
