Financial Summary
Lee Enterprises, Inc. is principally engaged in newspaper publishing and Internet activities. As of 9/99, the Company published 21 daily newspapers, more than 80 other publications, and operated 16 television stations. For the nine months ended 6/30/01, total revenues rose 4% to $331.8 million. Net income from continuing operations fell 8% to $49.9 million. Revenues reflect benefits from acquisitions. Earnings were offset by costs related to acquisitions and dispositions.
