PROFILE |
 |
Peugeot Citroën Argentina (PCA) seems to be a favorite in the family. A subsidiary of French auto giant PSA Peugeot Citroën, PCA manufactures and imports Peugeot and Citroën vehicles, winning about 12% of the Argentinean auto market. The company builds about 70,000 vehicles annually, including cars and vans. To capitalize on South America's car market, PSA Peugeot Citroën upped its stake in PCA to more than 99% and changed the company's name to reflect a closer affiliation with the parent firm. PSA Peugeot Citroën has invested more than $500 million in PCA to boost auto production in Argentina. Formerly Sevel Argentina, PCA was formed through the 1980 merger of the Argentinean operations of Fiat and Peugeot.
