PROFILE |
 |
It's Grupo Financiero Banamex-Accival, but you can call it Banacci. Banacci, as the bank is known, offers personal and corporate banking through such services as deposit accounts, mortgages, consumer loans, and credit cards. One of the largest banks in Mexico, Banacci operates about 1,200 branches. The firm also offers securities brokering (Accival), insurance (Seguros Banamex), and pension services (Afore Banamex). Banacci has launched AcciNet, an electronic investment banking system, AcciTrade, an online brokerage, and AcciGame, for virtual trading. It also owns California Commerce Bank in Southern California. In what will be the largest-ever US-Mexico corporate merger, Banacci is selling itself to Citigroup.
