 PROFILE
Old World Industries is taking a progressive lead in the production of chemicals. The company is the #2 supplier of antifreeze in the US and the only vertically integrated antifreeze producer. Old World's brands include Peak antifreeze (behind Prestone and Zerex), Sierra antifreeze (marketed to parents and pet owners as a safer alternative antifreeze), and more than 70 private-label antifreezes. Old World also makes deicer for streets, sidewalks, and runways; pickup bed liners (Herculiner); and high-performance oil filters (Hard Driver) and spark plugs (SplitFire). The company's chemicals unit produces acetone, diethylene glycol, ethylene glycol, methanol, and liquid caustic soda.
