Klaussner Furniture Industries makes furniture for the couch potato in all of us. It is one of the US's largest makers of upholstered furniture. Klaussner sells fabric- and leather-upholstered sofas and recliners, dining furniture, and office furniture under the JDI, Realistic, Revolution Motion, Paoli, Tellus, and Klaussner brand names. It also offers sofas and chairs under the licensed Sealy name. Its 20 plants produce items exported to more than 40 countries. Klaussner also owns about 20% of furniture retailer Jennifer Convertibles. Chairman Hans Klaussner has owned the company since 1979; it was founded in 1964 as Stuart Furniture Industries.
