Coke may be the real thing, but the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation is the real deal. The private foundation was established by longtime Coca-Cola head Robert Woodruff, and most of its $3.5 billion in assets are in Coca-Cola stock. One of the largest foundations in the country, the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation focuses on awarding grants in conservation, culture, economic development, education, health care, and human services. The foundation gives preference to charities located or operating in Coca-Cola's home state of Georgia. Its sizeable contributions to Atlanta's Emory University have garnered the university the nickname Coca-Cola U.
