The Lefrak Organization
 PROFILE
"If you build it, they will come" could be The Lefrak Organization's motto. The private firm is one of the largest residential development and management companies in the New York metropolitan area. In addition to a variety of smaller properties, its major developments include Lefrak City (5,000 units) and Battery Park (2,200 units), both in New York City, and Newport City (about 10,000 units), which is still under construction in Jersey City, New Jersey. Owned by the LeFrak family, the company also owns and manages a variety of commercial and retail properties throughout the city. Subsidiaries include Lefrak Oil & Gas Organization and Lefrak Entertainment (a production company).
