PROFILE Edeka Zentrale is a powerful force in wholesale and retail food sales in Germany. One of Europe's largest retail and wholesale food organizations, the cooperative (made up of more than 6,000 independent retailers) includes over 11,000 food stores. Its 12 regional food wholesalers supply the stores.
