Evergreen International Aviation soars through blue skies and travels across green lands. The aviation services company supports carriers, such as the US Postal Service and UPS, by providing logistics, ground handling, and maintenance at some 20 US airports. Evergreen transports cargo for airlines, freight forwarders, and government agencies. With more than 100 helicopters operating in about 100 countries, the company provides fire fighting, construction, and rescue support. Evergreen also sells, leases, and repairs aircraft; supplies parts; and runs a plant nursery. Del Smith, a former Air Force pilot and crop duster, founded the company in 1960. Its McMinnville, Oregon, museum houses Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose.
