Business Summary
NuCo2 Inc. is the largest supplier in the United States of bulk CO2 systems and bulk CO2 for carbonating and dispensing fountain beverages. Bulk CO2 is a relatively new technology that is replacing high pressure CO2 as the beverage carbonation system of choice. NuCo2 offers its customers two principal services, which include a stationary bulk CO2 system, installed on the customer's site and a routine filling of the bulk CO2 system with bulk CO2 on a four-week cycle. NuCo2's customers are many of the major national and regional restaurant and convenience store chains, movie theater operators, theme parks, resorts and sports venues, such as Burger King, Pizza Hut, McDonald's, Dunkin' Donuts, Hard Rock Café, 7-Eleven, Host Marriott, Host Player Stadium, Daka International, Regal Cinemas and American Multi Cinema.

Financial Summary
NUCO supplies liquid carbon dioxide to retail establishments such as restaurants, convenience stores, taverns, theaters, theme parks, resorts and stadiums for use in the carbonation and dispensing of fountain beverages. For the nine months ended 3/31/01, net sales increased 18% to $49.6 million. Net loss applicable to Common increased 1% to $6.8 million. Revenues reflect increased pricing and volume. Net loss reflects higher S/G/A expenses due to increased salaries.
