Business Summary
Polaroid Corporation is an instant imaging company and is a manufacturer of traditional silver-halide, or chemical-based, instant cameras and film in the United States. The Company's principal products are instant film, instant and digital cameras, digital peripherals and secure identification systems with software and system solutions. In addition, Polaroid designs, develops, manufactures and/or markets hardware accessories for the instant imaging market, conventional 35-millimeter cameras and film, as well as videotapes. The Company introduced a number of new products or product line extensions in 2000, and has unveiled its plans for several more in 2001. Some of the products that were introduced in 2000 or the first quarter of 2001 include the Polaroid I-Zone Instant Pocket Camera and film, the Polaroid I-Zone Webster, the Polaroid I-Zone Digital & Instant Combo Camera, the Polaroid PDC 2300Z, the Polaroid P-500 and the Polaroid SP 360.

Financial Summary
Polaroid Corp., designs, develops, manufactures and markets instant and digital imaging products, photographic cameras and films, videotapes, light polarizing filters and lenses, and commercial films. For the six months ended 7/1/01, sales fell 25% to $664.3 million. Net loss totalled $200.8 million vs. income of $25.2 million. Revenues reflect decreases in all three regions. Loss reflects the inclusion of a $80 million restructuring charge.
