The Company's insurance subsidiaries develop, market and administer supplemental health insurance, annuity, individual life insurance and other insurance products. Conseco's finance subsidiaries originate, securitize and service manufactured housing, home equity, retail credit and floorplan loans.

Financial Summary
CNC is a source for insurance, investment and lending products. Through its subsidiaries and a national network of insurance agents and finance dealers, CNC provides solutions for wealth protection and wealth creation. For the six months ended 6/01, revenues rose 3% to $4.28 billion. Net income applicable to Common before extraordinary item totaled $54.6 million vs. a loss of $333.9 million. Results reflect a $192.4 million gain on the sale of interest in Riverboat and lower insurance policy benefits.
