Presidential Life Corporation is an insurance holding company that, through its wholly owned subsidiary Presidential Life Insurance Company (the Insurance Company), offers two primary lines of business-individual annuities and individual life insurance. Each of its products is designed to meet the needs of increasingly sophisticated consumers for supplemental retirement income, estate planning and protection from unexpected death. The Company, through the Insurance Company, is licensed to market its products in 48 states and the District of Columbia. Approximately 52% of the Company's fiscal 2000 annuity and life insurance products were sold to individuals residing in the State of New York.

Financial Summary
PLFE, an insurance holding company, is engaged in the life insurance and annuities business via wholly-owned subsidiary, Presidential Life Insurance Co. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues rose 14% to $161.6 million. Net income fell 41% to $12.4 million. Results reflect increased annuity considerations due to the expansion of the marketing force, offset by higher level of policyholder account balance and increasead commissions paid.
