Business Summary

Maxcor Financial Group Inc. is a financial services holding company. Through the Euro Brokers division of its Maxcor Financial Inc. subsidiary, a United States registered broker-dealer, and other Euro Brokers Investment Corporation subsidiaries and affiliates, including Euro Brokers Inc., the Company conducts its core business as a domestic and international inter-dealer brokerage company. The other subsidiary, Tradesoft Technologies, Inc. , is a technology provider of electronic trading systems and matching engines that enable customers to deal electronically through the automation of order entry, price distribution, order matching and straight-through processing. Through the Euro Brokers Securities Lending division of its SEC-registered investment adviser, Maxcor Financial Asset Management Inc., the Company conducts a securities lending business. The Company also has an information and data subsidiary, Maxcor Information Inc.

Financial Summary

MAXF is an international and domestic inter-dealer brokerage firm, specializing in emerging market debt, money market instruments, derivatives, natural gas and electricity, repurchase agreements and other fixed income securities. For the six months ended 6/30/01, total revenues rose 13% to $89.8 million. Net income applicable to Common rose 98% to $5 million. Results reflect brokerage derived from a new agency securities brokerage team and lower occupancy costs.
