LifeCell Corporation is a bioengineering company engaged in the development and commercialization of tissue regeneration and cell preservation products. The Company's core preservation technology produces an acellular tissue matrix, which retains the essential biochemical and structural components necessary for normal tissue regeneration. The Company currently markets three products based on this technology: AlloDerm for the reconstructive plastic, burn and dental markets; Cymetra, which is micronized AlloDerm tissue for the reconstructive plastic and dermatology markets; and Repliform acellular tissue for the urology and gynecology market. The Company also is developing several additional products, including small diameter vascular grafts as an alternative to autografted blood vessels, orthopedic applications of its acellular tissue matrix, and ThromboSol, a formulation for extended storage of platelets.

Financial Summary

For the six months ended 6/30/01, total revenues rose 33% to $14.2 million. Net loss applicable to Common fell 37% to $2.3 million. Revenues reflect increased demand for Repliform, Cymetra and AlloDerm. Lower loss reflects decreased product development and personnel expenses.
