American Home Products Corporation is engaged in the discovery, development, manufacture, distribution and sale of a diversified line of products in two primary businesses, Pharmaceuticals and Consumer Health Care. Pharmaceuticals products include branded and generic human ethical pharmaceuticals, biologicals, nutritionals and animal biologicals and pharmaceuticals. Consumer Health Care products include analgesics, cough/cold/allergy remedies, nutritional supplements, herbal products, hemorrhoidal, antacid, asthma and other relief items sold over-the-counter.

Financial Summary
AHP is engaged in the discovery, development, manufacture, distribution and sale of a diversified line of products in the areas of Pharmaceuticals and Consumer Health Care and Agricultural products. For the six months ended 6/01, net sales rose 7% to $6.67 billion. Net loss applicable to Common and from continuing operations decreased 44% to $1.21 billion. Results reflect higher worldwide pharmaceutical sales, offset by the absence of a $1.71 billion termination fee.
