Pacific Century CyberWorks, formed in August 2000 by the merger of Pacific Century CyberWorks and Cable & Wireless HKT, is a provider of the global satellite, telephony and Internet service industries. The Company's communications solutions include an interactive television service and converged Internet and digital video content service in the Asia-Pacific region. Pacific Century CyberWorks is developing spectrum of broadband Internet capabilities to provide telecommunications, digital technology and new media services. The Company has developed an 8 X 3 business model that runs eight business units within three operating sectors. Telecommunications Services is comprised of telecommunications and other services based on the Company's fiber optic network in Hong Kong. Global Communications Services provides mobility and global connectivity services. Net Enterprises contains Data Center services and CyberWorks Ventures, which takes strategic positions in synergistic core businesses.

Financial Summary
Pacific Century CyberWorks is involved primarily in technology businesses related to the Internet and the delivery of broadband ISP-enabling services and technologies to local access operators. For the six months ended 6/30/00, revenues rose 40% to HK$104 million. Net loss fell 14% to HK$34.9 million. Revenues reflect an increase in sales of customer premises equipment and related maintenance services. Lower loss reflects higher investment income.
