Park Place Entertainment Corporation is an international gaming company that was formed when Hilton Hotels Corporation split its lodging and gaming operations into two separate companies on December 31, 1998. The Company had approximately two million square feet of gaming space, 28,000 rooms and revenues of $4.9 billion in 2000. Park Place has casinos in Nevada, New Jersey and Mississippi in the United States, as well as Australia, Uruguay, Canada, South Africa and at sea. The Company's gaming operations are conducted under the Caesars, Bally's, Paris, Flamingo, Grand, Hilton and Conrad brand names.

Financial Summary
Park Place Entertainment is an international gaming company which owns, operates or manages 28 casino properties in the United States, Australia, Uruguay, Canada, South Africa and at sea. For the six months ended 6/30/01, total revenues fell 1% to $2.4 billion. Net income rose 12% to $93 million. Results reflect lower revenues from the Las Vegas Hilton due to the repositioning of the property as a convention hotel, offset by the absence of impairments.
