Financial Summary
Playboy Enterprises, Inc. operates in six industry segments: Publishing, Catalog, Entertainment, Product Marketing, Playboy Online, and Gaming. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues fell 7% to $139.1 million. Net loss before acct. change rose 28% to $15.5 million. Revenues reflect the sale of the Company's Critics' Choice Video catalog and related businesses. Higher loss also reflects an increase in the non-cash valuation allowance for deferred tax assets.
