Business Summary
Crescent Real Estate Equities Company operates as a real estate investment trust and, together with its subsidiaries, provides management, leasing and development services for some of its properties. As of December 31, 2000, the Company's assets and operations were composed of four major investment segments: Office Segment, Resort/Hotel Segment, Residential Development Segment and Temperature-Controlled Logistics Segment. The Company's portfolio of properties includes office properties, retail properties, luxury resorts and spas, destination fitness resorts and spas, upscale business class hotels, residential development properties and production and distribution facilities.

Financial Summary
Crescent R.E. Equities is a fully integrated real estate company operating as a REIT. CEI provides management, leasing and development services for its properties. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues rose 5% to $369.1 million. Net income before extraordinary item applicable to Common fell 38% to $50.3 million. Results reflect higher office property revenues due to increased rental and average occupancy rates, offset by reduced gains on the sale of properties.
