Financial Summary

CMVT designs, develops, manufactures, markets and supports computer and telecommunication systems and software for multimedia communications and information processing applications. For the six months ended 7/31/01, revenues rose 27% to $710.1 million. Net income fell 1% to $106.9 million. Revenues benefited from growth in enhanced platform product sales. Net income was offset by $22 million in after tax charges related to workforce reductions and investment write-downs.
