Business Summary
Scitex Corporation Ltd. designs, develops, manufactures, markets and supports digital graphics communications products and solutions. These operations principally comprise two related businesses, digital printing and digital preprint, together with certain Internet-related communications products and services, operating within a single industry. The Company's digital printing operations are comprised of the wholly owned Scitex Digital Printing, Inc. and Scitex Wide Format Printing Ltd., its holdings in Aprion Digital Ltd. and the Karat Digital Press joint venture. On April 4, 2000, Creo Products Inc. acquired the Company's digital preprint and print-on-demand operations. Its digital preprint products, now produced and marketed by the CreoScitex division of Creo, comprised the products of the Company's former Input Systems and Output Systems divisions, as well as the products of Iris Graphics, Inc., a developer and manufacturer color digital inkjet printers and proofing systems.

Financial Summary
SCIX designs, develops, manufactures markets and supports digital graphics communication products. SCIX operates in two businesses: Digital Preprint and Digital Printing. For the six months ended 6/30/01, revenues fell 41% to $130.5 million. Net loss before accounting change totaled $173.6 million vs. an income of $129 million. Results reflect an impact from the recent slowdown in the market, slower than expected penetration in the U.S. market and pricing pressure.
