Business Summary
Solectron Corporation provides electronics manufacturing services to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) that design and sell networking equipment, mobile and land-based telecommunications equipment, computing equipment, including workstations, notebooks, desktops and peripherals, and other electronic equipment. These OEMs include Cisco Systems, Inc., Compaq Computer Corporation, Ericsson Telecom AB, Hewlett-Packard Company, International Business Machines Corporation and Nortel Networks Limited. These companies contract with the Company to build their products for them or to obtain other related services from it. Selectron furnishes integrated supply-chain solutions that span the entire product life-cycle from technology solutions, to manufacturing and operations, to global services.

Financial Summary
SLR provides electronics manufacturing services to OEMs who design and sell networking equipment, workstations, telecommunications equipment, and personal and notebook computer peripherals. For the nine months ended 6/01/01, sales rose 61% to $15.10 billion. Net income before accounting change fell 62% to $126.8 million. Results reflect increased demand from PC, notebook, consumer and automotive business sectors, offset by higher restructuring and impairment costs.
