Apart from computers, I am interested in Bharatanatyam (Indian Classical Dance) and Veena (an Indian string instrument)[ actually it is the other way around ;) ]
Dancing is one of my passions. I love Bharatanatyam, I learnt Bharatanatyam at Shyamala Cultural Center from Senthil (known as Udumalai Senthil), a disciple of Dr. Padma Subramanyam. I wish I could go back to those days of rigorous rehearsals and performances. Ah.. life was heaven then. :) Here is a list of some of my favorite classical dancers. - Dr. Padma Subramanyam - Anita Ratnam - Urmila Sathyanarayanan I will soon update this page with links to some of Dr. Padma Subramanyam's work.
I love carnatic music and particularly enjoy playing veena. I started learning veena from Dr. Annapoorni at Hyderabad and continued my classes with Mrs.Bama at Pollachi (my hometown). At Madison, I learnt veena from Mrs. Vijaya Raman.
Dr. Balamuralikrishna is one of my all time favorites in Carnatic singers. I love listening to pancharatna keerthis in Dr. Balamuralikrishna's voice.
