Adventure Squadron 8 : Chronicle: The Desert Day 6 to Day 10

We came upon a strange pole with a flag blowing in the hot breeze. Upon the scarf was a strange symbol. We were unable to decipher it. Shortly thereafer, we come across two pillars over the path with arcane writing on the side. We spend hours trying to decipher it.

Day 8

After getting lost in a sandstorm and some antics between the kender and the orc, we reach an even harsher landscape.

Day 9

With sudden ferocity, a giant purple worm burst forth in a shower of broken Earth and attacked us. After a mighty battle, Ohla was nearly swallowed and only the heroics of Caleb pulled him out.

Day 10

Unka finds North. They argue where they are. The wagon axle breaks again. Ohla Amee abreaks it down. He takes the spare parts. The rest of the day passes uneventfully. Kaleb hears something. Dorian sneaks off ahead. There's something burning and there are sounds of a fight; maybe 1/2 mile off. Everyone goes ahead to investigate. They find a caravan being attacked. The group breaks into the fight. Bola and Damar are in the caravan group. There are dead bodies! Sorass casts magic missile at the DM! This is madness! He misses the DM and strikes a scary dog. Unka leaps forward, cleaving into the sandman with her axe. Enemies draw in.

Dorian, "I thik some of them are fighting the others and we're fighting all of them."

Damar fires a lightning bolt through 6 conveniently lined up yelching 2 dudes and a dog. Damar's raven speaks common. Blood rains down upon the sand as Unka annihilates another of these unsavories. Everybody is healing up EVIL... Ohla talks smack from a top a corpse they just felled. Damar was taken down by a giant porcu-dog causing Unka to rage and kill the mofo. Dorian was really hurting so Kalib dragged him to safety while the battle continued. A bitchass porcu-dog is severly wounded (1hp left) Kalib takes him and launches a magic missile at his doggone ass and with 4 points of damage the dog goes down. Kalib rejoices at his first "kill." Unka rages on and two sandmen hit the desert. Ohla, "What's going on man. We're kicking your ass like fuckin' school girl style." The sandman responds in jibberish. Unka cleans house and the party rejoices. Sorass finds much magic. The sandmen's eyes are magic. Ohla meanwihile releases some dervish prisoners. Unka discovers some prisoners and plays her flute to calm them.

Ohla frees some of the slaves. Caleb is healing people. Find some magic robes and weapons. Swords are from some other plane. Slavers don't want their prisoners to escape. Slaves try to flee and are stopped. Ohla manages to free all the slaves and gets them to our caravan. We've discovered some friends. Ohla interrogates a guy.
