Adventure Squadron 8 : Chronicle: The Cultists Attack
We get into a room and two cloaked warriors attack. Unka manages to intimidate the priest caster. One was held and frozen. The lights in the room dim, the air grows cold and four wraiths float across the room through the door. Very scary. Dorian backstabs and kills a priest. Calib turns 3 of the wraiths. D'zon shoots arrows and Unka finishes off the last wraith.An army appears to be following us so, like the true heros we are, running happens. We get into the hallway, and hold the door closed.
The party readies for combat. The air crackles with anticipation of fire and lightning...but nothing happens. Bows, X-bows, fists and Ballpark Franks (tm) at the ready. After a couple rounds of holding a door shut against our foes, the opposition stops. We promptly open the door to find eight men weilding a battling ram, and another man behind them who seems to be casting a spell. The ram has no ability to stop and runs past Ohla and Bola. Ok, they don't make it past because Sorass fireballs them cripy as KFC (tm). There is much talk of "Deliverance" (copyright) and the origin of "Dueling Banjos" (Copyright). Many a foe is slain, though the evil spellcaster nearly smolders. We shut the door again when about 100 other bad guys show up. We use a body as a doorstop and run even deeper into the unknown, in an effort to avoid more trouble. Our running away brings us to a door with an inscription:
Through his spirit lies for from us, into his likeness only we may enter.
