Adventure Squadron 8 : Chronicle: Prit the Gnome and the Tests of the Pharoh

We start in an octagonal room. A gnome has been digging for ages. Nieve and Jazon meet up with us. There is much BSing and very little is done. We finally move out of the room.

Climbing up a rope, we see a Y shaped hall. Flixie opens the right door, charging ahead noisely. The room has a water falling on the sides. Two men in the alcove! They move slowly toward the center. The paladin slices one in half and falls to the ground. As Stu runs to the next flight of stairs, another mud statue appears right in front of him. Most of our blows just bounce off. Nieve charges and slices the left guy in half. Bola attempts to leap over the water falling over the stairs. He nearly makes it, but runs into an invivisble wall and falls into the water. Unka attacks and cuts mud people in half. Dorian throws a rope into the water to help Bola. Flixie's spell reversed and hit her. Spells are clearly backfiring. Damar attempts to change himself to help Bola, but that fails.

Stu attempts to sneak past the statues, but gets knocked back. Nieve slices another mud person; but more spawn! Bola attempts to grap the rope, falls, and misses everything and gets sucked under water.

Flixie casts magic missile on herself thinking that if it backfires, it will go against the monsters. A huge hole opens up and pulls her in with the paladin. She uses a grappling hook to escape. Stu runs off.

Nieve turns into an eagle and flys away. Begin the Retreat!

They all climb out of the oil and fall back to the stairs, more spawn again!

Kaleb summons a fire elemental - Ouch! Bola attempts to rush a mud guy and push him into water, but fails.

Unka starts cutting through them to back out, but has slow progress. We're making really slow progress.

Flixie staggers out nearly dead and is healed by Nieve.

Keep bull rushing the mud people. The fire elemental is killed. Nieve cures again

Kaleb passes out, comes to, and has a magic staff of some kind.

Flixie and Stu offer pineapples to Amon Re. "Here, have some pineapple.." and it doesn't work.

Unka, Stu and Flixie manage to lasso the reappeared Golem guys and shove them into the rushing water. The invisible wall disappears and the villagers rejoice! (YAAAAY.)

The paladin is dead! But she has no magic items, nor does she have sexy lacy undergarments.

Next, there's an ominous wall of flame on the next landing. Even though Flixie has a wand of fire extinguishing it doesn't go out. Jozan, somewhat expectedly tries to disbelieve the firewall. But it works! and the party passes through to the third platform.

Now, a solid stone wall falls down with a resounding SPLUT. Nieve tries to soften earth without success. Now, Kaleb actively disbelieves it! Who knew, it worked again.

Now we're at the top landing. Flixie steps up, and some sort of doppelganger appears and attacks! It gets killed. Now it's evil Stu! It's dead. Now evil Damar appears in this Freudean nightmare, and is valliantly backstabbed by Stu. Flixie pokes around and awakens the giant fist. Oh NO! Unka charges and her shadow self wrecks mayhem. Flixie is knocked unconsious, then revived by Stu. Dorian is cloned and then made singular again. Unka bashes at the fist with a big magic axe. Silly Flixie, why did she try to be a hero?

Then a dude casted cone of cold. Poor Jazon dies! Alas. Seven others fall KO'd. Stu remembers the bloody jar the gnome gave him and in it he finds a heart! He holds it aloft, shrieking "Behold! The heart of Aman Re!" (Just a guess). The monstrous spellcaster freaks out and curses Stu with blindness and after that a fever. Damar flings the heart to the floor and destroys it with a well-placed lightning bolt. The evil goober falls, lifeless and defeated. After licking our wounds, we dispatch the evil Kaleb like the seasoned professionals that we are. Kaleb (the real one) cures Stu's, um "problem."

We enter the Question room. We answer 3 questions and the kender rattles on. "SHUT UP," says God. Flixie disappears after grabbing a glowy hand. Same for Unka, except for the rattling.

We look around below for a bit. Stu looks at a fucking book and looses a fucking level. Harummph! Stu throws the book around. Everyone rides the magic waterfall. Oh, Kaleb got a mystical answer to a divination question.... YES!!!!

We ascend to a room with a boat and a painting. Damar sticks his head through the painting... and it's a portal for above the pyramid Gee whiz! In the next room we find THE burial chamber, and w/2 staves Nieve, the resourceful elf, finds a secret door behind the statue! Yippee!!! Treasure galore ensues.
