Breathing exercises.

For the last several weeks I've been a subject in a physiology study run by Dave. As part of the study I have to do breathing exercises almost every day. Since this is the last week of these exercises I thought that I would make my "Respiratory Muscle Training Log" (RMTL) my webpage feature for the week.

Overall effort: 1-5, where 1 is "poor" and 5 is "awesome".

End fatigue: 1-5, where 1 is "no problem" and 5 is "totally pooped".

Hyperventilation 11:30 PM 30 minutes 3 2.5 I didn't do too good. I had a few interruptions, plus I couldn't breate too hard because I was typing this page up while I was doing it. I think it was still a good workout, though.

7:00 PM 35 minutes 2 1.5 Today was an easy day.

Resistance 3:00 AM 65 breaths 4 4 Piece o' cake. I made sure to blow out all my air and didn't have much trouble at all. I'm not sure exactly how many I did as I lost count a couple of times.

10:00 PM 1.5 hours 4.5 4.5 Ouch! That was really tough. This was the first time this year that I made my lungs hurt in a bike workout.
