Summary for Week 10

Note: On Tu, 11/6/12 the instructor had a throat infection. There was no lecture.

Lecture 18: We discussed the problem of key distribution and the concept of a key distribution center (KDC). We also discussed the Diffie-Hellman key exchange protocol. During the discussion of the protocol, we also covered the discrete log problem (DP) and the Diffie Hellman problem (DHP).
Required reading: Chapter 9 (except Theorem 9.3).
