Writings and other English stuff

It's required for all web pages to have a section of bad poetry. All I've got is one bad poem, although that's more due to lack of time than anything else.

I used to also adorn this page with some bad fiction in the grand tradition of TSR's hack novels, but I'm kinda past the point where I'm even amused by that sort of stuff anymore (at least when it's my stuff). So no more of that. Well, ok, I'll put one of them up, but that's it.

Now, then, more worthy of note is the series of writings I did for the English class that I took Spring '96. Looking back, it really helped crystallize a lot of very interesting thoughts that were floating around in my head. So, it's probably worth tossing out these writings to the general public. The first fourteen are all short (~one page) responses to the reading material of the day I wrote them for. The last one is the final paper. It's about ten pages, but chill out, they're all extremely easy reading. If you're curious about my current view of things, you might wanna look at some of these. Not for the squeamish, though.

If you're curious about the texts for the course, mail me and I'll dig up the list. It's kinda long, and I don't feel like digging it up just now.

Those essays are probably a little stale by now -- after all, I've been thinking for more than a whole year afterwards. But let's not underrate them either. Anyway, on the fiction side of things, I think Getting rid of Monday is the best thing I've written in quite a while. And it's short, too.
