(Version francaise)

Welcome to the Dionne genealogy page, dedicated to the descendants of Antoine Dionne and Catherine Ivory. If you or one of your ancestors bear the name Dionne, then you are almost certainly a descendant of Antoine, who came to Quebec around 1661.

My database started with my own family, but has been relentlessly expanding with the addition of a large number of Dionne marriages from Kamouraska, many other regions of Quebec, and also from New England. Many people have also contributed through their own family data, web sites, etc.. See my thank you page for a list.

At this point the database contains over 16400 individuals, including 4350 bearing the Dionne name.

I'll gladly make corrections or additions; let me know if you don't find your ancestor or your particular line in here. Just drop me mail! (dionne@cs.wisc.edu)

Laura Freeman's database

Laura Freeman also has an extensive Dionne database, which she has kindly provided to me, and allowed me to include here in web page format. In time this data will be merged into my own database, but given the amount of data, this is likely to take a while! Laura's database is much more complete than mine with respect to birth/death dates, so you'll want to check it out even if you've located the individuals in my database. You can contact Laura at the following address: lablondielove@aol.com
