Yes, I do have friends. Many of them have web pages, and they all seem to have time to do fun stuff... and it seems that everyone likes to see a few friends listed on someone's web page... or thinks that they have to list them, or something like that. Keeping this page up to date is a pain.

• Adam Butts plays hockey, orgnizes the SACM hockey club with me, watches hockey, refs hockey, flys airplanes, and plays cards.

• Erik Paulson works for the condor project. He won't fly in fun airplanes.

• John Perkins and I play and watch hockey games together. John works with me now too.

• Eric Schnarr plays hockey and likes to drive fast cars. He is married to Maggy (who no longer has a web page?)

• Many of the Lab Staff are my friends, but I'd hate to start making a list and get it wrong, so I just included a link to all their home pages.

• Besh! (Matt Beschta) is a really bouncy person. He is kinda obsessed with computer hardware .... he isn't bitter. He used to live in the UPL, but now he's in Seattle working for AT&T Wireless. Someday he'll update his web page.

• Gus is another UPL person. He used to be a wee bit bitter. Now he's better. He is also in Seattle, works at AT&T Wireless and runs madison-expat.net

• William Annis is a sysadmin at the "Biomedical Computing Group" at the UW Medical School.

• Doug Hughes is a friend I met at LISA '96 (Chicago). He writes lots of neat network tools.

• Deb Brauer is a long-time friend. She plays goalie for several groups (including ours). Now she too works in computers!

• Bob Gill is a sysadmin in Boston. He runs the hot tub list.

• Tom Limoncelli used to have two web pages (work and personal). Now I can't find either (he changed jobs and his ISP changed again). Tom is a sysadmin and author. Check out the web page for his book at www.EverythingSysadmin.com.

• Josh Simon is yet another Unix sysadmin.

• Dan Rich needs to update his web page. He too is a sysadmin.

• Ryan Donnlly loves ATM and everything net. He claims he isn't a sysadmin, but a network admin. Right.

• Bryan With a Y is a programmer and a sysadmin.

• Ross is an engineer.

• Fabulous Nate. We call him fabulous because he uses the word a lot. And to tell him and the other nate apart.

• Brian Frick makes music and web pages.

• Alan Bailey is a CS grad student (at Wisconsin).
