The idea is for this to be a nice organized page where you can see how different parameters affect performance on different textures, etc...  Unfortunately I have not had the time to make this page fit that vision.  What I have had time to do is to post lots of intermediate results that I generated while doing the project.  A lot of these images were generated while I was debugging and stuff like that.  I need to go through these images, prune where necessary, add in some comments, reorganize and reformat.  I also need to add the input textures and some other stuff.  I will try to improve this in the next few weeks.  Having said all that, here are some results:

Here is a decent one of the apples

More apples (Patch size, overlap size):
(24, 4) (36, 1) (36, 6) (36, 18)

Bark (64, 11) Basket (64, 11) Beef (64, 11)

Berries (42, 7) Bread (33, 0) Bread (33, 6)

Bricks (85, 14) Concrete (26, 4)

Lots of bricks:
(10, 5) (25, 4) (42, 0) (42, 1) (42, 7)
(42, 21)

Lots of fence:
(42, 7) (84, 0) (84, 14) (90, 15) (126, 21)
Fire didn't work so well for me (maybe I needed to play around more?) though you can see how the algorithm does indeed give the patches ragged boundaries.
(36, 6) (80, 10)

Pebbles (42, 7) Water (48, 8) Water (48, 24)

Lots and lots and lots of scales:
(24, 0) (24, 4) (24, 12)

(48, 1) (48, 8) (48, 24) (48, 36)

(6, 3) (6, 4) (30, 20)

Some text:
(24, 1) (24, 4) (36, 6)

(40, 6) (40, 20)

(80, 6) (80, 25) (80, 40)

A regular texture:
(24, 4) (24, 12) (24, 18)

(6, 3)

And some wood that did not work out at all:
(42, 1) (42, 7)

(64, 1) (64, 16)
