Motorcycles are a form of transportation and entertainment. Overall, motorcycles have higher gas
mileage ratings than a majority of cars. However, Motorcycles were not always around. In 1879 Giuseppe
Munigotti patented the first gas powered motorcycle. The 1950s were known as the “golden age” for motorcycles.
Some motorcycles only weighed around 150 pounds, had only 3.5 horsepower, and only cost a little over $200
back in 1911. Motorcycles do not need much horse power to be fast because of their weight.
