I am a 1st year MS/PhD student in the Department of Computer Science at UW-Madison, supervised by Professor Yong Jae Lee. Machine learning and in particular computer vision are my research interests.
I obtained my Bachlor's degree at UW-Madison in May 2024, double-majoring in Computer Sciences (with Honors in the Major) and Data Science. From Fall 2023 to Spring 2024, I was able to work in Professor Yong Jae Lee's lab to complete my senior honors thesis. During May-Aug 2023, I worked at State Farm as a Software Engineer/Data Analyst Intern. Before that, I enjoyed the opportunity to work with Professor Jonathan Aldrich from CMU during a summer research camp in Shanghai in 2019, who kickstarted my research experience.

I was born in Shanghai, China, yet I have only been to less than 5 Chinese cities other than Shanghai throughout my entire first 18 years of living (until I left China for the US).
I am very interested in history and geopolitics, which is also why I love playing grand strategy games such as Europa Universalis IV, Crusader Kings III, Hearts of Iron IV, and Stellaris.
I also enjoy a wide variety of manga, anime, and visual novels. Thanks to this hobby, I became passionate about the Japanese language and culture, making me a trilingual (in Chinese, English, and Japanese).
