Q 1: When will the design document be graded? Answer: Preliminary design documents are due on April 18-th to the mentors. Mentors will take a week to give you comments. However, you should start implementing right away. Let me repeat that again: YOU SHOULD START IMPLEMENTING RIGHT AWAY. You can always make changes as you go along. Final design document should be given to Louis at the time of the demo. However, we will consult the mentors before assigning grade for the design document (we will ascertain whether the final design document incorporates the feedback you received from the mentors). Q 2: How often should the teams meet the mentors? Answer: You should have weekly meetings with your mentor. I will recieve indirect feedback from the mentors after each weekly meeting. Q 3: When will the demos be? Answer: Final demos will be on the following dates: May 10 and 11. Louis will have a sign-up form pretty soon. However, you should schedule a practice demo with your mentor a few days before the final demo. This will give you a chance to "iron out" all the kinks before the final demo. Remember that the final demo and the design document are what we base the project grade on.
