Note
This new definition search site is more efficient than previous search site in the ‘Classical Chinese’ web site.
First it can look up multiple words at a time and has better output options for easier viewing. Not only that while I was working on this program, I realized that old search program has a bug , when the program is searching a word in the dictionary , it searches in chronological order of 'online classical chinese dictionary' and looks for the first definition that contains the word: for example, when searching for a word [上] in the old program, it finds;

shang 4 [srang 4] 尚 1. to honor; to esteem (=); 2. to ascend; to prevail (=上); 3. to be in charge of; 4. still; yet Shang 4 shu 1 [srang 4 sru 1] 尚書 Secretary of State

where it should find:

shang 4 [srang 4] 1. the top (of s.th.); heights; 2. upper; uppermost; 3. to ascend; to advance; 4. to submit

My new program fixed this problem. If you find any bug in the program, please email me ( jjkim5 at wisc dot edu ). ENJOY!

ps. My program still searches a word in the 'online classical Chinese dictionary'.
