Unlike the versions for Wii U, Windows and Xbox 360, the PS3 version contains additional content:

Assassin's Creed III (base game)
Assassin's Creed III: Benedict Arnold (DLC)

Retail versions come with a code to download the DLC. For the digital download versions it is bundled with the main game right away. There is no default version of the game for the PS3 without the DLC.

For retail release, this download is free only until March 31st, 2013.
